Meng Zhaocheng
1944年出生于天津,海军宣传部原副部长,现任世界华侨华人社团联合总会副秘书长、中华名人艺术院秘书长、北京郑和下西洋研究会副理事长、中国航海日帆船航海组委会副总指挥等职。从上个世纪六十年代至今,习书四十余年,先研隶书,多方拜师,博采众长,后以行书榜书为重。其书风格雄浑厚重,洒脱自如。
Born in Tianjin in 1944, he is the former Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Navy. He is now the Deputy Secretary General of the World Federation of overseas Chinese associations, the Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of celebrity arts, the deputy director general of Beijing Zhenghe voyages Association, and the Deputy commander-in-chief of the sailing Organizing Committee of China Navigation day. Since the 1960s, he has studied calligraphy for more than 40 years. First, he studied Lishu, followed by Xingshu and bangshu. The style of his book is vigorous and heavy, free and easy.

年过花甲的原海政宣传部副部长孟昭澄长期从事部队文化工作,半个世纪的海军生涯使他对大海一往情深。退休后他又专门从事海洋文化研究和推广,深厚的文化底蕴和独特的职业习惯,让他逐步萌生了一个崭新的创作概念:海洋书法。孟昭澄以海洋为主题进行了一系列书法形式和内容的创新,他以隶书写下《四海颂》,创作《百海图》;以草书来展现历代名家咏海名诗70余首;用巨幅扇面书法传播海洋知识;以沧桑的篆书书写《钓鱼岛》,着力重申这是中国的固有领土;将阿拉伯数字运用于书法作品中,让观者牢记我国有300万平方公里的海洋国土;以《大海名将录》深情追思为国捐躯的英魂。为此,孟昭澄得到了“大海书法家”的称号。
Meng Zhaocheng, the former deputy director of the Maritime Affairs and Propaganda Department, who is over sixty years old, has been engaged in military cultural work for a long time. His half-century career in the navy has made him a passion for the sea. After retiring, he specialized in the research and promotion of marine culture. The profound cultural heritage and unique professional habits made him gradually emerge a brand-new creative concept: marine calligraphy. Meng Zhaocheng carried out a series of innovations in the form and content of calligraphy with the theme of the ocean. He wrote "Ode to the Four Seas" and created "A Hundred Seas Map" with the official script; used cursive script to show more than 70 famous poems on the sea from past dynasties; Fan calligraphy spreads ocean knowledge; writing "Diaoyu Islands" in the vicissitudes of seal script, reaffirming that this is China's inherent territory; using Arabic numerals in calligraphy works, let viewers remember that my country has 3 million square kilometers of maritime land; "The Record of Famous Generals" deeply recalls the heroic soul who died for the country. For this reason, Meng Zhaocheng was awarded the title of "Calligrapher of the Sea".
