Many people like Hong Kong movies because they can see the "fireworks on earth" in the movies. The plot, dialogue, and characters of the movie reveal a genuine "breath of life". For many mainland fans, Hong Kong movies with true temperament and local atmosphere are a complex in their bones, a symbol of growth, and a memory of youth.
On April 24, 2021, the 2021 Hong Kong Film Theme Photography Exhibition "Streaming Light Flying Shadow" hosted by Creative Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, kicked off at K11 Yanjiyou Bookstore in Guangzhou. The one-month exhibition brought the locals of Hong Kong to the audience. The works of the famous photographer Ms. Lu Yuying and the new-generation photographer and visual artist Ms. Zeng Mi have allowed audiences in the Greater Bay Area to recognize and feel the unique charm of Hong Kong movies.
This photography exhibition is one of the "Hong Kong Week 2021@广州" series of activities, and is divided into two units, "Streaming" and "Flying Shadow", respectively showing the works of two photographers with very different styles, one is Ms. Lu Yuying, a senior photographer who used to take close-range black-and-white photos of people in the 1970s and 1980s, and self-proclaimed "City Hunter", is a young photographer known for expressing her works in strong colors. Ms. Zeng Mi . Along the lines of the exhibition, the audience can reminisce the golden years of Hong Kong movies through their lens and feel the ardent creative passion.
With the deepening of the film industry cooperation between the two places, more and more excellent co-produced films have appeared on the screen. As the creative Hong Kong director Mr. Zeng Zhaoxue said at the opening ceremony of the film: "As the cooperation between Hong Kong films and the mainland becomes closer and closer We have reached a consensus with mainland filmmakers. Although Hong Kong films and mainland films have different narrative styles, we have learned from each other's strengths and achieved each other over the years." Mr. Jiang Weimin, the curator and senior film critic of the exhibition, said The sharing session on the opening ceremony also agreed that taking advantage of the economic boom in the Greater Bay Area, the Mainland and Hong Kong should seize their respective advantages and work together to bring more and higher-quality works to the audience and lead the development of outstanding Chinese-language films. The new pattern is moving towards a broader international film stage.
